SOE PitchFest Finalists Announced
State of Education in Africa conference attendees will vote for the most innovative idea
A selection committee has chosen four finalists for AAI’s first-ever PitchFest competition, which will be presented during the 2nd Annual State of Education in Africa conference (SOE) on September 2 at the InterContinental Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.
There were nearly 100 submissions to this innovative competition, which explores cutting-edge ideas, tools, information and technologies that can help bring about a better educational system in Africa. Submissions provided an unique opportunity to address some of Africa’s most urgent educational issues.
The finalists will have three minutes to pitch their concept to conference attendees. Conference attendees will vote on the most innovative idea. Each finalist will receive a cash prize for first, second, third and fourth place after votes are tabulated.
Drumroll please… The PitchFest finalists are:
- Title: “A Mobile Library and Outdoor Readers Hub for Children” by Edem Dorothy Ossai
- Title: “AfroTalez” by Elizabeth Kperrun-Eremie
- Title: “Pass.ng” by Samson Abioye
- Title: “Growing Up Well” by Nneamaka Ugbomah
