Societe Nationale d'Investissement du Cameroun (SNI)
1981 – 1988
Between 1981 and 1988, AAI administered the Societe Nationale d'Investissement du Cameroun (The National Investment Corporation of Cameroon) scholarship program, which was a staff development program funded by SNI. Thirteen participants were sponsored to obtain master’s degrees in business administration at select universities in the United States. AAI’s activities included screening of applications, participant placements in M.B.A. programs, English language training, orientation, visa sponsorship, monitoring of participants and repatriation. Upon completion of their M.B.A. program, participants returned to Cameroon to high-level positions of employment at SNI.
