AAI hosts reception with Anna Getanah, Ethiopian Fashion Designer and Social Entrepreneur

Mora McLean, President & CEO of The Africa-America Institute, and Natalie Hahn, Founder & President of The Malaika Foundation, hosted a reception with Anna Getaneh to view her 2007 African Mosaique Collection. Anna is a fashion designer, social entrepreneur and the Founder of The Ethiopian Children's Fund, an NGO that supports 400 children, primarily orphans in Ethiopia. Anna, a former international model who worked in New York and Paris for over 10 years, shocased a selection from her African Mosaique Collection, including ladies wear, bags, scarves, belts, cashmere and jewelry—all culturally inspired. The event was held at AMARIDIAN art gallery in New York City, which displays conteporary art and handicrafts from Sub-Saharan Africa.
