Benefit for Launch of Diamonds for Humanity™ Jewelry Collection
AAI partnered with Gemesis and Diamonds for Humanity™ to organize a launch party for Diamonds for Humanity’s jewelry collection. Gemesis is a diamond-producing firm based in Florida. Founded by London-based architect and jewelry designer Sabiha Foster, Diamonds for HumanityTM is a dynamic global initiative that funds grants to non-governmental organizations that administer programs addressing issues such as health and education for women and children in geographic areas which have suffered from the “conflict diamond” wars.
Diamonds for Humanity’s jewelry collection features origin-certified Gemesis Cultured Diamonds and Canadian white diamonds set in gold and platinum. Held in Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall, the event also benefited the International League for Human Rights. Montel Williams, Emmy-award winning talk-show host, was the Master of Ceremonies and U.N. Under-Secretary General, Ibrahim Gambari, spoke at the event.
